I'm a podcast or two behind, but I wanted to make a comment on this one.

I'm with Ben on how I got into comics. I started reading comics around age 14, right when Image Comics started up. What got me into it was something I would be surprised if anyone here knows about. I was big into the ANSI Art scene, and everyone was drawing images ripped from the pages of comics. So I started reading them and fell in love with the Image line and never read anything from the big two.

As most things I get involved with, comics eventually faded out of the forefront and I stopped buying them. About a year ago I decided to finally get back into things and I've been reading almost everything I can from DC and a few things from Marvel. I still have a soft spot for Deathblow and Grifter, though.

On another note, I assume you guys are aware of the volume issues on the podcast? Whenever I listen I have to keep my finger on the volume nob to either turn it up when Jon talks, turn it down when someone laughs or Scipio talks, or any other various changes in decibel level.
